This section explains how to use the airbag crash data reset online system to clear crash data from crashed dumps and repair the SRS module after an accident, impact, or possible errors due to software defects.
All new methods and information that you need from basic to advance for repairing any car and any SRS ECU are included (like clearing crash data by OBD, best tools, airbag bypassing, diagrams, seatbelt repair, and …).
We offer technical support, a 30-day money-back guarantee, certificate of completion. Your success is 100% guaranteed.

Course A: Airbag Module Reset Training Course
As you may know, the SRS module or airbag computer is responsible for controlling the sensors and components related to the airbag system such as airbags, pretensioners, belts, airbag sensors, etc. When a crash occurs, depending on the severity of the impact, the airbag controller commands the airbags to be deployed and the belts to be locked by the pretensioners.
After this process, many errors and crash data (Hard Errors) will be stored in the memory of the airbag module. Due to hardware limitations, these errors cannot be cleared by diagnostic tools like normal errors (Soft Errors) and the SRS module must be replaced without having any hardware problems.
Replacing the SRS module increases costs and side issues for coding and configuration operations. In order to be able to repair the airbag module and return it to its pre-crash state, we must systematically clear errors (Crash Data Reset) and perform the coding and configuration processes.
Before starting work, you must remove the airbag ECU from the car. For information on the location and method of removing/installing the SRS module, refer to the training section.
The first step is to locate and identify the chip memory in the airbag module where the crash information is stored. It is usually external EEPROM (8-pins), internal EEPROM, and data flash (D-Flash) of microcontrollers in newer models.
You can use the online system to know where the crash is stored. Registration is free, and you can simply sign up as a new member of the online system and use this service.
Using special programmers, considering the principles of programming, read the content of this chip memory, which is in the format of binary or hex codes, then transfer and save it to the computer (crash data.bin). Please refer to the training section to learn how to program EEPROM and microcontrollers.
Note: Please read the 93Cxx series in the 16-bit mode.
CPU Name | Acceptable Flash, D-Flash, or EEPROM Size |
---|---|
Infineon | 64Kb, 316Kb, 444Kb, 572Kb, 576Kb |
Infineon Tri-Core | 96Kb, 128Kb |
MAC | 64Kb, 320Kb, 352Kb |
MPC | 64Kb |
Renesas | 4Kb, 32Kb, 64Kb, 96Kb, 448Kb |
SPC | 64Kb |
TMS | 64Kb |
In the second step, you must delete airbag crash data and other related fault codes from the airbag ECU file. To do this, you can use the ARMHEX airbag crash data reset online system. Log in, choose a brand, model, and airbag module serial number in the system, and upload the airbag crash data you read from the SRS module. The online system will clear airbag crash data for you, so you can download cleared dump instantly.
The final step is programming cleared dump to the memory chip of the airbag ECU considering the rules and principles of programming and putting the memory chip back on the board and the airbag module is ready to be installed on the car, that's it!
Now your airbag module is repaired and there is no difference between the airbag module before and after the crash. It should be noted that the ARMHEX airbag crash data reset online system performs all the coding and configuration steps automatically, and you do not need any additional costs or operations for coding and configuration after installation.
If during the airbag crash data reset, you have encountered internet or system problems, and you were not able to download a cleared dump, always remember you should not press the reset button several times. First, go to your account section. If the reset is done, you can download the cleared dump from the file table. If the cleared file is not listed in the table, the reset operation is not done. Check the internet connection and try again.
If you select the wrong serial number while resetting the crash data file, will the points be returned to you?
The online system has warned you to re-check the part number before the reset process. If, for any reason, the serial number is chosen incorrectly, contact the support team. For the first time, half of the reset points will be returned, but for the next time, due to the software nature of the service, the points will not be returned, and you should be very careful in this regard.
Crashed file I uploaded was incorrect, will the points be returned?
The online system has warned you to re-check the crashed data file size and content before the reset process. If for any reason something went wrong, contact the support team. For the first time, half of the reset points will be returned, but for the next time, due to the software nature of the service, the points will not be returned, and you should be very careful in this regard.
Always remember that to reset the airbag crash data file, you must load the EEPROM or D-Flash (Data Flash) part of the microcontroller. Take extra care in this matter because loading the wrong crashed data file, a file that doesn’t have the correct information, a corrupted file, wrong size, or in the case of the microcontroller, loading the entire flash memory instead of EEPROM or data flash part, makes the reset operation incorrect.
